Recent Pickups

Hey y'all! So if any of you remember from my previous post I said that I had ordered a few things and I finally get to show you them! Plus I picked up a few extra bits from the mall so I'll give you my thoughts on everything.
I'll start off with the two items I ordered. I originally saw Analisa of the "Rouge Fox" sport this same Danielle Nicole bag in one of her Instagram pictures and I immediately fell in love with it. This picture really isn't doing it any justice and it's much more metallic in person. Trust me. It's definitely a statement and if you're looking for something different consider checking this one out! I ordered mine from Nordstrom and I think for the price, it's a great bag and the quality of it is really nice so you won't be breaking bank to get that designer look compared to actual high end designer bags that are double or triple the price of this one. The next thing I ordered was the Fisherman's Pullover from American Apparel. Now originally I ordered it in white in a size medium but it wasn't as oversized as I would've like it to be so I ended up exchanging it for an extra large. I got it in grey because the American Apparel closest to me didn't have any white ones in stock so I'm kinda bummed about that because I really wanted the white one, but the grey one is really nice too so I shouldn't be complaining.

Onto the bits that I got from the mall that I picked up from H&M. I didn't want to do too much shopping because I'm saving that for when I go home again for spring break, but I couldn't resist buying a couple of things. I got the two wallets to use for my new bag because the wallet that I was using previously was way too big. And I don't really consider them to be wallets, they're more just like coin pouches to me, but they're big enough that I can fit all my cards and what not. Of course, I had to get it in black, but I love the powder blue one as well. The color is perfect for the spring time. There was also a snake print one that I considered getting , but I didn't really think I needed three. The last thing I got was just a pack of silver rings. I've specifically been looking for rings like this for the longest time so when I found this pack of four for only $4.95 I was sold.
Well I guess that's the end of my little haul. I'm expecting one more package so I'm definitely going to share that once I get it in the mail because it's a really cool piece and I want to talk about it. Anyways, I hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Magazines to Sooth the Soul

I'm finally home for the weekend and I seem to have acquired quite a few magazines in one day... I stopped by Barnes & Noble because I wanted to see if they finally had the U.K Marie Claire with Ellie Goulding in stock and they did! Ellie is my queen so there was no question about picking up an issue. I also stumbled upon the January 2014 issue of Company magazine, which I thought wouldn't be out anymore so I was glad to see it on the shelves. To me, it's basically the U.K equivalent to America's Teen Vogue. I personally prefer it over Teen Vogue because I feel like they include more pictures of raw street style and it isn't all just styled photo shoots. That and I really like the overall texture of the magazine. I know that sounds weird, but it doesn't have that glossy finish. It's more like the type of paper used for newspapers, but thicker and sturdier. It even smells like newspaper (don't judge me because I like the smell of a magazine). I briefly skimmed through them earlier and there are a lot of things that caught my eye. Surprisingly, even the Teen Vogue magazine had a few things that I took to liking. I've lost interest in Teen Vogue the past few years, but I still get the monthly subscription in the mail so I still peruse through them.
Anyways, if you're wanting new magazines to read or want some inspiration from somewhere else other than the internet, pick up these issues! You won't be disappointed!
