New Things

Hey there! I've been home for my spring break since last Friday and I've actually done quite a bit of shopping already. I thought I'd give you a glimpse of what I've bought so far. And it's still just the beginning of the week so I may or may not have more things to show you when my break is over..we'll see. In the meantime, I'm still waiting for the weather to get warmer so I can just walk out the door without bundling up and having to put a coat on!

I've Got My Eyes On You

Hey guys! So sorry that I haven't updated practically the whole month of February! The more I think about it, the more I realize how bad I am at keeping up with this blog (as well as my main style blog). I can't believe it's already March. That's just insane! I've been busy with school work plus the weather is still flippin' cold so there isn't much to do or blog about. I'm excited for this coming week to be over though because I'm going home for spring break next Friday on the 7th! My spring breaks are always so early and it makes it not feel like 'spring' because it's still cold out.. Hopefully it warms up a little! At this point, I'd be happy with 50 degrees. Seriously. I'll take anything above 20 degrees.
Anyways, I thought I'd do a quick post on this shirt that I ordered. If you remember from my last post I mentioned that I had one more item I was waiting for in the mail and this is it! (Sorry it took so long to put up. I did get it in the mail a few weeks ago). First off, this shirt had sleeves. Yes, I hacked them off but only because the shoulders were extremely weird and boxy and it looked like I was wearing a football jersey. I was sad about that for awhile but I didn't want to just not wear it and let my money to go to waste. I thought that it'd make a cute muscle tee so I cut the sleeves off and now I can't wait to wear it in the spring time! It's supposed to be a knock off of the Kenzo sweatshirt so I think it's pretty unique and it isn't something you'll find just anywhere! I'll put a link below of where I bought mine and you can see what it looks like with sleeves.

Recent Pickups

Hey y'all! So if any of you remember from my previous post I said that I had ordered a few things and I finally get to show you them! Plus I picked up a few extra bits from the mall so I'll give you my thoughts on everything.
I'll start off with the two items I ordered. I originally saw Analisa of the "Rouge Fox" sport this same Danielle Nicole bag in one of her Instagram pictures and I immediately fell in love with it. This picture really isn't doing it any justice and it's much more metallic in person. Trust me. It's definitely a statement and if you're looking for something different consider checking this one out! I ordered mine from Nordstrom and I think for the price, it's a great bag and the quality of it is really nice so you won't be breaking bank to get that designer look compared to actual high end designer bags that are double or triple the price of this one. The next thing I ordered was the Fisherman's Pullover from American Apparel. Now originally I ordered it in white in a size medium but it wasn't as oversized as I would've like it to be so I ended up exchanging it for an extra large. I got it in grey because the American Apparel closest to me didn't have any white ones in stock so I'm kinda bummed about that because I really wanted the white one, but the grey one is really nice too so I shouldn't be complaining.

Onto the bits that I got from the mall that I picked up from H&M. I didn't want to do too much shopping because I'm saving that for when I go home again for spring break, but I couldn't resist buying a couple of things. I got the two wallets to use for my new bag because the wallet that I was using previously was way too big. And I don't really consider them to be wallets, they're more just like coin pouches to me, but they're big enough that I can fit all my cards and what not. Of course, I had to get it in black, but I love the powder blue one as well. The color is perfect for the spring time. There was also a snake print one that I considered getting , but I didn't really think I needed three. The last thing I got was just a pack of silver rings. I've specifically been looking for rings like this for the longest time so when I found this pack of four for only $4.95 I was sold.
Well I guess that's the end of my little haul. I'm expecting one more package so I'm definitely going to share that once I get it in the mail because it's a really cool piece and I want to talk about it. Anyways, I hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Magazines to Sooth the Soul

I'm finally home for the weekend and I seem to have acquired quite a few magazines in one day... I stopped by Barnes & Noble because I wanted to see if they finally had the U.K Marie Claire with Ellie Goulding in stock and they did! Ellie is my queen so there was no question about picking up an issue. I also stumbled upon the January 2014 issue of Company magazine, which I thought wouldn't be out anymore so I was glad to see it on the shelves. To me, it's basically the U.K equivalent to America's Teen Vogue. I personally prefer it over Teen Vogue because I feel like they include more pictures of raw street style and it isn't all just styled photo shoots. That and I really like the overall texture of the magazine. I know that sounds weird, but it doesn't have that glossy finish. It's more like the type of paper used for newspapers, but thicker and sturdier. It even smells like newspaper (don't judge me because I like the smell of a magazine). I briefly skimmed through them earlier and there are a lot of things that caught my eye. Surprisingly, even the Teen Vogue magazine had a few things that I took to liking. I've lost interest in Teen Vogue the past few years, but I still get the monthly subscription in the mail so I still peruse through them.
Anyways, if you're wanting new magazines to read or want some inspiration from somewhere else other than the internet, pick up these issues! You won't be disappointed!

Recent Tunes and Weekend Update

I thought I'd share what music I've been loving lately. Give them a listen if you haven't already heard them! Anyways, sorry that I haven't been posting as regularly like I was doing over my winter break. The past two weeks have been hectic adjusting to the new semester, classes, and just going back to school in general. But I think I've finally gotten comfortable with my schedule. My classes were cancelled today and yesterday due to the extremely cold weather so I was blessed with a four day weekend! Huzzah!
I started using my Polyvore again over this long weekend. I'm so over the cold and was feeling inspired to put some outfits together for the spring time so I did. The one above is just one of the many that I put together so if you're wanting more inspiration for the spring (and I'll note that most of the outfits I made are black and white 'cause that's just what I'm into), then check out my Polyvore here. In other exciting news, I'll be going home in about a week and a half! I'm stoked on that because I've ordered a few things and I wanted them shipped to my house and not my apartment so I want to go home asap! I'll most likely do a post on them while I'm home so that's something to look out for! In the meantime, I'm going to fix myself dinner (aka soup and microwavable pizza yay) so until next time..

Dreaming in Black + White

Is it spring yet? I can't wait until this cold weather is over with. I'm tired of layering until I feel like a marshmallow. I just want to be able to put on a pair of shorts and walk out the door! Currently, I'm all about the black and white look for this coming spring season (but really, I'm all about the black and white look any day). I was feeling inspired so I thought I'd go on my Polyvore to put a few outfits together and these are two that I came up with. I made a few other looks, so if you're interested in seeing those check out my profile on Polyvore here!

Sheer Love

Pictures via Orange Milk Peel
Stephanie from "The Fashion Citizen" has posted several pictures on her Tumblr wearing these lovely, sheer floral socks. She posted these awhile ago (probably months ago) but for some reason I randomly remembered them earlier this evening. Thus commenced my search for similar socks. I love how delicate they look from the flowers and since they're sheer, they'd be perfect for spring and even summer time. I definitely need to get my hands on some 'cause I'm already imagining how cute they'd be paired with my JuJu Jelly Sandals. I did a lot of online searching and found some from Topshop and Urban Outfitters. I'll have to take a visit to those places soon so I'll have a few pairs in time for the spring!
